It's a rush and a rush...

Wow, there has been so much going on, on every level...it's a rush, rush, rush to keep up! Besides the daily living stuff (perpetually boring), Domino had a good day at school yesterday. The class is moving on to some tricks because everyone knows the basics pretty well. So we're learning target training and spins and even "back". Domino got a head halter and he was doing a pretty good impression of a bucking bronco until he got used to it. He's a powerful boy and likes to pull.

Today, we scattered to try to outrace the sunset and get a walk in.

It was cold in the forest and we kept up a brisk pace to beat both the cold and the falling sun.

The dogs all had the "zooms" after being cooped up yesterday and they wore themselves out. Charm didn't tempt the water but Domino plunged right in. He is such a guy!

I have to admit it feels pretty good to take a break to clear one's head and I was feeling as rejuvenated as the dogs were.

We took a hike to the top to enjoy the view, the light just touching the tree tops.

Full on color now appearing everywhere.

Its such a beautiful palette this time of year.

It seems like fall skies match the changing leaves.

The water becomes dark and mysterious after a summer of spawning sunbeams.

We emerge wind blown and charged by the cold air...happy hikers always. There are days upon days that I feel blessed for dogs and forest and just being. We have all tumbled into fall and fall is just one big pile of fallen leaves and smells a bit like pumpkin spice and nutmeg with a tinge of smiles. The dogs carry it home in their fur, I, in my heart.
